  • 2023.06.02 Academic Alliance and the director of the Global Health Research Center of KMU, Teacher Ya-Wen Chiu attended the "Asian Countries Immigrants and Health" online forum, which was initiated by Professor Dr. Jun Kobayashi, chairman of the Japan Global Health Association, with participants from Japan, South Korea's Yonsei University, and the Ministry of Health of Vietnam, discussed "immigrant health issues will become an important global health issue from 2020".   • 2023.01.06-01.19 Dr SF Hsiao held a CPE OPTIMAL workshop for stroke rehabilitation in Vietnam under the global grant of Rotary International (VTT-GG2125902 2021-2024) for TPTA to support the professional development of PT in Vietnam. A MOU between TPTA and VNPTA; Dr Hsiao also presented the progress and structure of the CPE OPTIMAL in the ADMIRE workshop (supported by HI and USAID) held by World Physiotherapy there.   • 2022.08.17 The 19th International Network of Health Promotion Foundations (INHPF) Annual Meeting was held by Taiwan Health Promotion Administration (HPA), Kaohsiung Medical University and CCHP team via a virtual meeting. The theme of this year was “Health Promotion Policy for Global Action”.
    We specially invited Dr. Suvajee Good, Regional Advisor for Health Promotion and Social Determinants of Health, WHO South-East Asia Regional Office to be our keynote speaker and gave a speech on “The Importance and Direction of Health Promotion in the 21st Century”. Meanwhile, we also invited experts from Western Australia, Thailand, Korea, Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance (SEATCA) and Prof. Kuo-Liong Chien from National Taiwan University (NTU), as well as Prof. Chih-Cheng Hsu from National Health Research Institutes (NHRI), representing Taiwan. By sharing the implementation of health promotion policies and the experiences from different countries, hoping that can enhance the competency of health promotion agencies and to achieve a sustainable society that is equal and healthy for all the public.
    A total of 244 participants attended this event and 97% of them shown the high satisfaction with this meeting.(Department of Public Health)
