Dr. George M. Carman is the Board of Governors Professor of Food Science and Founding Director of the Rutgers Center for Lipid Research. Dr. Wei Dai is one of the faculty members in Center for Advanced Proteomics, and Department of Cell Biology & Neuroscience. Dr. Ira Goldberg is current teaching in New York University and services in affiliated hospital, NYU Langone Health.   • 2023.12.13 Dr. Tran Ngoc Dang and Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu are scholars from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City and Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry in Vietnam, respectively. They will be visiting on December 13th to engage in exchanges with three faculty members from our department regarding University Social Responsibility (USR) at Kaohsiung Medical University.(Department of Public Health)

Later Professor Ke and Students also went to the Institute for Quantitative Biomedicine and the Department of Cell Biology & Neuroscience, Rutgers university New Brunswick to seek for future research collaborations and students’ exchange program.   • 2023.07.01-07.31  Associate Professor Dr. Panan Ratthawongjirakul from the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, visited Medical Laboratory Science and Biotechnology, College of Health Sciences, KMU, for the students’ exchange program. Besides, we launched a three-university joined research collaboration among National Ping-Tung University Science and Technology, Chulalongkorn University, and Kaohsiung Medical University.(Department of Medical Laboratory Science and Biotechnology) 
  • 2023.06.02 Academic Alliance and the director of the Global Health Research Center of KMU, Teacher Ya-Wen Chiu attended the "Asian Countries Immigrants and Health" online forum, which was initiated by Professor Dr. Jun Kobayashi, chairman of the Japan Global Health Association, with participants from Japan, South Korea's Yonsei University, and the Ministry of Health of Vietnam, discussed "immigrant health issues will become an important global health issue from 2020". On June 2, Teacher Ya-Wen Chiu was once again invited by the Japan Global Health Association to communicate and discuss with representatives from South Korea and Vietnam on how to establish an Asian academic research network for "refugee health issues" in the future.(Department of Public Health)

  • 2023.01.06-01.19 Dr SF Hsiao held a CPE OPTIMAL workshop for stroke rehabilitation in Vietnam under the global grant of Rotary International (VTT-GG2125902 2021-2024) for TPTA to support the professional development of PT in Vietnam. A MOU between TPTA and VNPTA; Dr Hsiao also presented the progress and structure of the CPE OPTIMAL in the ADMIRE workshop (supported by HI and USAID) held by World Physiotherapy there. Dr Hsiao also visited Hai Duong Medical Technical University for the collaboration of educational support of KMU via the USR funding.(Department of Physical Therapy)
