  • 2024.10.21 Professor Liang-Yin Ke from the Department of Medical Laboratory Science and Biotechnology invited Dr. Tzong-Shi Lu, Assistant Professor in the Division of Nephrology at a Harvard Medical School-affiliated teaching hospital, to share his experiences studying abroad and developing as an interdisciplinary professional.   • 2024.10.19-10.20 Professor Liang-Yin Ke from Department of Medical Laboratory Science and Biotechnology invited Associate Professor Chia-Hsuan Liu from Leiden University to share her experiences studying abroad and developing as an interdisciplinary talent. Associate Professor Liu, an alumna of the 10th graduating class of MLSB department at KMU, is passionate about supporting students from her alma mater. She gave a special talk entitled Leave no one behind - Healing through Humanity.

  • 2024.10.15 Professor Liang-Yin Ke from Department of Medical Laboratory Science and Biotechnology invited Professor Dr. Gunter Schwarz from the University of Cologne, Germany, to deliver a lecture on the topic 'The Functional Role of Mitochondrial ARC Enzymes in Lipid Metabolism in Human Cells.（Department of Medical Laboratory Science and Biotechnology）
  • 2024.10.15-10.18 Professor Liang-Yin Ke and the team participated in/co-organized the 64th International Conference on the Bioscience of Lipids (ICBL) held in Taipei. In the center is Prof. Agnieszka Dobrzyn, President of the ICBL International Council and faculty member at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS.   • 2024.10.14-10.15 Professor Liang-Yin Ke from Department of Medical Laboratory Science and Biotechnology invited Dr. Abdel Ali Belaidi from The University of Melbourne, Australia, to deliver a lecture. Dr. Belaidi is currently a senior researcher at The Florey Institute of Neuroscience & Mental Health, The University of Melbourne, specializing in cellular metabolism and neurodegeneration, particularly in exploring how the interactions of cysteine, lipid, and iron metabolism determine the fate of neural cells.

  • 2024.10.07-11.05 Hassan Mohammed Abdi, Director of the Medical Laboratory Department at Somaliland's Hargeisa Group Hospital, received professional training as a medical laboratory supervisor at the Department of Laboratory Medicine of Kaohsiung Medical University.
